A small but mighty museum and education space showcasing all things stereoscopic. Situated down a narrow Echo Park alley, 3-D Space hosts changing exhibits with imaginative and informative themes, typically some combination of antique, modern, and futuristic devices. Among these are holograms, View-Masters, VR goggles, 3-D books and movies, digital art and photography, and multiple generations of equipment and 3-D cameras. One of founder Eric Kurland’s particularly prized pieces is the exceedingly rare Terryscope, a homemade prototype, arcade-style kiosk with stereoscopic Mighty Mouse film clips that play for a dime (he’ll loan you one).
